Sabbath Bulletin - Nov 1, 2025: Why So Much Suffering?

By Maui Kahului Seventh Day Adventist Church

Thank you for joining us this Sabbath! We extend a heartfelt "Aloha & Happy Sabbath," to all our members, visitors, & guests. We are thrilled to have you with us today this Sabbath.

He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.
Matthew 13:37-39 NKJV

Thought of the day

When Jesus died on that Roman cross, the devil’s defeat was complete, not only because Christ rose again, but because the true contrast between good and evil was revealed for all eternity. The enemy showed his heart of selfish ambition, while Jesus revealed God’s heart of selfless love. Love so deep, so pure, so radical that the Creator gave His life for His creation. While the devil sought to take what wasn’t his, Jesus gave up everything that was His to give us life. That’s the heart of God. That’s what real love looks like.

Profession of Faith
We welcome Monie King, Xochitl Raygoza Gomez, Ricardo Jimenez as members to our church through their profession of faith. If you are looking to move your membership from another church or from another country, please reach out to Pastor Vassili or Jesse Lamog.
Special Prayers:

We ask for your fervent prayers for the Bostanica family during this troubling time. Alexi & Iuliia have been on Maui since 10/2023 with their children Ian, Jasmine, & Celine. Even with documents confirming legal status in the US, including work permits, state-issued ID licenses & paying taxes to our government, etc. they received a letter from immigration services, & Alexi was taken into custody. For those that would like to support the family, there is a meal train to support Iullia & their children.
